The boxed set looks really great and I can say that the gangs as they are laid out are really characterful and fun. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses and all look like they will play in good, but different ways.
ReplyDeleteThe rules as a whole seem very solid and much more streamlined than the first incarnation so the games should play very well. In particular, the many different rolls that were in the old rules have been simplified and the broken combos removed.

ReplyDeleteA more streamlined system with less maths is a real plus, I just hope the planned supplement contains lots of mad abilities, equipment and some new factions!

I can't wait to get the boxed set as well. It'll take longer for me because I'm over in the states but that's ok, I still need time to finish my Huntsman spider tank (you can see it with my ramshackle stuff at http://ghostnebulae.blogspot.com/2010/01/inquisition-monitoring-station-zeta-4.html)
ReplyDeleteThe rulebook is really nicely done as well (curtis let me have an early pdf) and I can't wait to see it printed up and bound properly. It's as good as any other printed book I've seen from the bigger companies. The system looks really great and the planned supplement will fill things out a lot. I can't wait to see what Curtis is working on for it.
