Camera Woes!

Hi!

I had hoped to get some pictures up of some of the scenics and miniatures Ive been working on but still cant find my camera charger! I suspect its time I updated to a newer digital camera as the old one had been proving a bit unreliable for some time!

Im hoping to purchase a replacement over the course of the next day or two in preparation for the box set arriving...

In the meantime I just wanted to say a bit of a belated welcome to Peter W, Asmo and indeed Ramshackles Curtis, for following the blog! Hopefully it will soon have a bit more useful content to it!

All the best!

  1. Bummer on the camera. My wife just got a new camera for her birthday and it's so much better than the old one. I can now take good pictures without flash and without having to cram as many desk lamps around the model as possible.

Thanks for the welcome by the way. I'm trying to get more people around here (Maryland, USA) into Nuclear Renaissance partly because it's a cool game and partly because I need playing partners :-)

  2. Hi!

I need to look on the bright side as decent digital cameras are getting a bit cheaper to buy than when I bought my old one!

Annoyingly Ive bee at uni today and got back to find a message from the postman telling me that a parcel ad arrived but they couldnt fit it through the letterbox!

It sounds like my Nuclear Renaissance has arrived and I will nip into town in the morning to pick it up! Alas Im off to London for the day so will have to wait till Saturday to post the review (I may have just enough time to post some first impressions before I leave!)

Best of luck with getting folks interested in non GW games! I tried for years and if it wasnt official GW people just didnt seem interested. Saying that they dont have the iron grip in the US that they do here. The fact that Ramshackles stuff has all the best qualities of GW kits at half the price should help, coupled with the game being a free PDF!

    All the best!

  3. No need to thank me, haha :).

I like the look of the Scrap Knights, having looked into the different forces as much as possible. Looks like the game could be kind of fun, but I'll have to give it a try before I know. Hopefully will place an order soon-ish!

  4. Hi!

The scrap knights do look like a good choice, the combination of heavy armour and fast moving bikes should look good on the tabletop!

    All the best!

  5. Hey Asmo. Perhaps when my order comes in we can get together for a game or two. Then we can both figure out which factions and playing styles suit us each the best.

  6. Pete: That sounds like a good idea, actually. I like the look of some of the miniatures at least :) I would have to see the gameplay though.
